I’ve been traveling a lot for engagement sessions and weddings recently, so it was great to shoot my last engagement session in the wonderful C-L-E. Ironically, Rachel and Ryan were the ones traveling this time as they visited Cleveland from Chicago for our session. Due to the rain, we shot in my favorite indoor location, the
Cleveland Museum of Art; the museum atrium is absolutely beautiful. Rachel and Ryan made shooting effortless as they laughed and enjoyed being together throughout the session. By the time we finished inside the museum, the rain had slowed, so we ventured outside for a few more shots. Thankfully, they trusted me to take them to a completely different location that allowed for an amazing contrast between their sophistication and the urban backdrop.
After finishing the session, I mentioned my upcoming surgery for a deviated septum. Coincidentally, Ryan had the same surgery and was giving me pointers on recovery. One thing led to another and suddenly we were talking about handstands; it led to one more fun frame before we parted ways. You’ll see from the pictures below that these two are so much fun. I can’t wait to photograph their big day in July!
