NEWS FLASH: We’re in the thick of wedding season. While the temperatures and overall weather conditions have been less-than-stellar, (I’m talking to YOU, rain and 60-degree temps!), that’s not putting any kind of damper on the number, and quality, of nuptials I’ve been shooting.
And I’m not complaining. Being busy is a blessing, especially when I’m doing what I love.
The first of three shoots on my calendar last weekend was with the lovely Avery and Michael, who held their Akron wedding at The Tudor House. As many Akronites know already, this place is gorgeous. Architectural eye candy, if you will. The only thing better looking than the venue, come to think of it, was the bride and groom. Avery and her soon-to-be hubby, Michael, were as laid back as they come. These two attributes no doubt contributed to the quality of photos that came out of the day. We were able to capture–really capture– so many of the in-between, intimate moments leading up to and during the ceremony. Some of my favorite shots simply revolve around the expressions of Avery and Michael. Both radiate so much love in their smiles, and it’s pretty obvious that the feelings they have for each other translate into the love they had for their guests, too. Everyone, from Avery’s beaming dad walking her down the aisle, to Michael’s mom as she danced with her son, to the little flower girl entertaining herself with bubbles prior to her “big moment”, showcases the happiness and joy felt by all at this Akron wedding.
This guy included.
Avery admires the final results. Her dress awaits. The bridesmaids are all smiles as they prepare for the ceremony. Michael suits up. A bit of pre-wedding bubble blowing helps to calm the nerves of the youngest bridal party member. Avery’s father waits to escort his daughter down the aisle as she looks on from behind the wall. Michael eagerly awaits his soon-to-be Mrs. Avery’s dad embraces his little girl while Michael and his groomsmen look on. Pure bliss — I like to think it’s due, in part, to the vows being exchanged without a glitch! A toast to the happy couple! Father/daughter dance. Bright moment for Michael and his mother. Time to party, as family and friends hit the dance floor for revelry and libations. Akron does it right!
